Offcut 

As part of my extended practice module one of my projects was to develop the branding and visual identity of a brief I started last year. Offcut is a concept for that would sell reclaimed, salvaged and scrap materials to designers, crafters and artists. It would act as an alternative source of materials that were unique and always changing due to the nature of the products and how they are sourced. This concept ties in well with my passion for reusing materials and making things with these materials. Reuse, sustainability and using different materials are all key themes within my work and interests so this idea could be a good way of linking these things into one. The concept would also allow for the sourcing of these materials from different placing e.g. salvage yards / markets, small businesses etc. I already often go to reclamation events a few times a year to pick up interesting materials to make and upcycle things for Etsy so this could be a natural progression. The business idea could be something that could be developed in the future as potentially there is a market for more unique materials for artists, designers and crafters.
