Studio Brief 2 - Self Branding Discussion

Small group discussion on ideas

As a group we discussed ideas that we wanted to portray in our self branding brief and also gave feedback on how these could be portrayed. With my own I suggested that I like physical and three dimensional work so I was looking to create something that was tangible and possibly functional to give to people.

In the discussion it was said that perhaps something could be made that could be folded in different ways to create an adaptable branding. The use of different papers could be another way of personalising it, whilst embossing could give it a more considered handmade feel. Ultimately I wanted it to be something that the client would be inclined to keep.

It was also suggested that perhaps the branding could be focused around a tool that is functional, for example a tape measure, pen or spirit level.
